Our weekend in Amish Country

Well... actually we spent the weekend at my In-Laws in Northeast Iowa, but their neighbors are Amish. So we are very accustom to seeing Amish buggies on the road. We even went to an Amish house to buy candy. They make yummy chocolates for very cheap. Overall, it was a very relaxing weekend and some much needed time with family.

Zoo Pics from October

These pics are a little old, but I still decided to post them. We did attempt the zoo on a 55 degree day. It worked out pretty well as long as the sun stayed out. My mom was visiting. We are going to miss the zoo until next summer. Then I will have two kids and much more responsibility. Can't wait!!

The weekend

Grandpa Lee, Aunt Brook, Mae and Noah came to visit this past weekend. We stayed inside the majority of the time because it was SO COLD outside. But we did manage to make it to the mall so the kids could ride the carousel. Fun times!

It has begun...

Well, the Christmas Season has arrived in the world of Retail. This is the life of my husband for the next 2 months or so. Some days he'll go in at 4am and won't come home till 5pm. If you do the math, that's a 13 hour day. I would say a 12 day is typical for this time of year. And it definitely catches up with him. These pictures are of Brett after work. His store just spent all weekend setting up for Christmas. Oh, the joy of the Holiday's. I happen to LOVE Christmas time. Brett on the other hand, just can't come to appreciate it because he works so much. But life will get back to normal after New Year's.

Elmo Sighting

There was an Elmo sighting at our house last night courtesy of Target's 75% off Halloween costumes. She saw Elmo and just had to have him. She carries this costume around like it's an Elmo doll. For only $4, I'm not throwing to much of a fit. We also stocked up on Halloween Candy value bags for only $1.50 each. If you are chocolate lovers like Brett and I, this is the time to stock up on candy. Yum Yum!!
