Makenna got this Rocking Chair for Christmas from Gpa and Gma Lilly. Brett put it together this weekend, and Makenna loves it. She likes to sit with her baby doll and rock.

A Day of Play
We spent the afternoon at Coco Key Water Resort in Chicago yesterday. It was an indoor Water Park and we had so much fun! There was something for every age group, including tube slides and dark tunnels slides. Brett and I were like kids in a candy store. My dad Lee, came up to help watch Makenna. She had a blast too!

Reading the Bible in One Year
Well once again Brett and I are reading the Bible in one year. What a task and dedication, right? Well our church has challenged us to use these Life Jounral's which map out the whole year of daily readings for us. We've learned from our Pastor that journaling is an act of worship to God, plus it's a great way to learn and remember scripture. The last time Brett an I read through the Bible in one year, was when we were dating. And I'll be honest, it took me about a year and a half, just because I wasn't consistent with it. But our Pastor told us that if you are doing something everyday it takes 20 days for something to become a habit. Well Brett and I have done 29 days in a row and we really feel like it is a habit now. It's like a part of our everyday life. Whereas before, we could skip a day or two. We are so proud of ourselves and I just felt like sharing our encouraging news with you.
