Uncle Grant visits

Uncle Grant and his girlfriend Courtney came to visit for the weekend. Makenna is in love with the two of them. We went to the Shedd Aquarium and had a great time. Although there were no dolphins. whales or penguins to view. They were under construction. We did see a 4-D movie there which was pretty cool, but Makenna was terrified of it.

I am so blessed to have two wonderful and beautiful daughter's. I love being there Mom!

First Zoo Day of summer

This year we decided to buy a zoo membership. Makenna is at the perfect age where she loves going to the zoo and is always talking about the animals. Our first trip, she couldn't wait to see the monkeys. When she saw the male gorilla she said to me, " mommy, the monkey has nipples!" I couldn't believe she observed that on her own. I was cracking up! We will be making many trips to the zoo this summer.

Sister Love

Our little runt!

Alexa had her one month check-up at 5 1/2 weeks. She is 10 lbs. 10 oz and 21 inches long. We call her our little runt because she was only 18.5 inches long at birth and Makenna was 22 inches long. At her check-up, Alexa was still only 21 inches long. She still hasn't caught up to her sister's birth length.

Makenna and her shoe obession

If there are shoes laying around she will find them. Usually my shoes are scattered everywhere. She takes them right out of my closet and I find them all over the house on every floor. She found her snow boots the other day and wanted to wear them. She barely wore them this winter, but all the sudden realized it was fun to jump around in them because they lit up.

It's scary the resemblance we noticed when we put that same hat on Alexa. You can definitely tell they are sister's.
