Alexa update

We're one week away from her One year birthday! Wow, I can't believe she is almost ONE YEAR already. Since she started solids, she was very tight lipped about what went in her mouth. She went cold turkey on fruits and veggies, but refused to eat baby food. So I was a little frustrated for a while. She's doing much better with her picky eating. I have got her to eat some fruits now like bananas, mandarin oranges, and raisins. Still no veggies. She's crawling, cruising, walking behind a walker, saying mama and dada, clapping, plays SO BIG, waves bye, and she gets into everything. She's very curious, determined, and hot headed. I think we are going to have our hands full with her. But she still remains our cuddler, and we don't mind that at all. I'm very anxious to see where she is at on the scale and her height at her upcoming One year check-up because I know she is going to be on the low end. She is very short and petite, and we're not really sure where she gets that. She was only 18 1/2 inches long when she was born, which is VERY short. Makenna came out ahead of the game at 22 inches long and she continues to be at the top of the charts. It's hard not to compare, but we've had some difficulty with Alexa fitting into Makenna old clothes. Alexa is a size behind because Makenna was always a size ahead of her age. Very frustraing for us considering we were very excited about having another girl and not having to buy new clothes. We've haven't be so lucky. But Alexa is such happy go lucky baby, and we've enjoyed watching her grow.

Makenna's new favorite song!

Makenna is obssessed with the song Hosanna by Hillsong. Well I must admit, I like it too. But we found the Youtube version and she is obsessed with watching it. It just so funny to see her imitate the singer, and try really hard to sing well. Brett jokes that her gift of singing must take after his side of the family. Which I find hilarious, because everyone of his siblings can sing except for Brett. So I think he was referring to himself. I'm not giving up hope on her, she's still young.

Makenna being Makenna

It looks like she has picked up a few things from gymnastics!

SO BIG!!

Sister Love

She's growing up way to fast!

No, she's not old enough for preschool. She just turned three. But you would think that by looking at these pictures. She picked out her clothes this day and wanted to wear the backpack as an accessory. Normally she is carrying around purses all day long. And she only wants to wear dresses from her closet. It's hard to believe that a year ago she still looked like a toddler with barely any hair, and look at her now. It's so sad!! I just keep thanking God for giving me the opportunity to stay home with my children and soak up as much time as I can with them.

Alexa 11 months and cruising!

Barbie Cash Register fun!

The girl's found a way to entertain themselves with the Barbie cash register microphone. The funny part is they figured this out on their own. I found it quite hilarious and glad I caught it on video.

Big and Little

It's crazy the size difference between these two. Makenna looks like a giant compared to Alexa. They are only two years apart. But Makenna is VERY tall for her age, and Alexa is very short for hers. We are thinking Alexa will probably NEVER be as tall as Makenna unless she goes through an EXTREME growth spurt later on in life. Which in the Lilly family is known to happen. Brett grew three inches in one year. One thing is for sure. Alexa is one tough little girl and give her a year or two, and she will be the one beating up on Makenna.

She already wants to be a mommy!
