Happy Fall Y'All!!

Alexa needs her beanies to keep her bald head warm from the cooler temps.

What a gorgeous fall day for a stroller ride.

Lazy Day at home

Makenna has croup

This is Makenna's first time with croup. Luckily is was only a mild case and we had no emergency visits to the ER for breathing treatments. I was able to get her in the doctor right away and get her on steriods. Each day she is getting better and we're looking forward to better days. Now while Makenna was battling croup, Alexa had a 103 temp. Not sure what was going on with her because she had no other symptoms besides the fever. We tried really hard to keep Makenna away from Alexa so that she would not pass on the croup to her. So far so good. And Alexa's temp is gone. Thank you Jesus. Dealing with TWO sick kids is all new to me. I'm sure it's going to happen a lot more in my life, and hopefully next time I can handle it better. It's hard when you have two sick kids that want to be held and are whining all the time. You are definitely needing a break and needless to say I was very thankful when Brett got home from work.

Alexa 6 month update

Alexa weighs 15 lbs. 2 oz. (25%) and length is 26 1/4 (75%). A little surprised by the weight, but now that she is eating food, maybe she will pack on the pounds. She is taking a bottle which I never could do with Makenna. So it's been really nice for me. I have a little more freedom. She's sitting up and making new noises everyday. She has finally reached 5am with sleeping. She was consistently waking up around 4am to nurse and that was hard on me. We've had issues with her waking up at night, but she does great with her naps during the day. Just recently she's slept 7:30pm-5am. We're making progress which is good. She has two teeth, and working on more. But overall, such a JOY. A very good baby!

Alexa sitting up!

She's all Girl!

Alexa's First Sweet Peas

Fun at Starbucks

Brett and I like to take a coffee day once a week to either Starbucks or Caribou. Well it's not really a date since we bring the kids along. But we've been doing it since Makenna was a baby. We don't have the luxary of having family in the area to babysit the girl's. We really enjoy getting out of the house and chatting over our favorite coffees. It just gives us time with one another and time to communicate. Which most of you know, with kids, is very hard at times. Sad thing.. Makenna might become a coffee drink at a young age because she thinks it's cool because Mommy and Daddy do it. Too bad the girl doesn't need any caffeine, she has enough NATURAL ENERGY to last her all day.

It's about time...

Brett has been the Store Manager of the Shorewood store now for about 18 months and it's sad but these are the first pictures I have ever posted of Brett at his job. We like to go visit him as much as we can, but sadly it doesn't happen too often. There are lots of Target's closer to where we live, and I usually shop at those. His store is only about 20 minutes from us. Which we have been really blessed that his commute is that short. Makenna likes to go and play on Daddy's computer.

Brett's Motto:
AWESOMENESS
"When I get sad, I stop being sad, and be awesome instead. True Story."
