She's quite the silly girl. Sorry if you don't think this is funny! But it cracks me up!

Snowing in October

Can you believe it? Too bad it's going to be in the 60's again on Friday. This is Midwest weather for ya. The snow didn't last long, but it was sure a surprise to see.

Summer Recap

We had a great summer. Here's a recap. We went to the Zoo and downtown Chicago a few times, had a pool pass to the community pool. Went to a water park with sister's and cousin's in Burlington, Iowa. I also spent time with my mother in Burlington after her surgery, while Makenna spent time at Gpa and Gma Lilly's. We visited the Lilly Cottage on the Fox River, went to a family reunion. We put our townhouse up for sale. We spent time with sister's and cousin's in Peoria. We spent numerous days at the park swinging and sliding, and taking long walks. We rollerbladed a lot! We found out we were pregnant with Baby #2. We went to a couple concerts. Aunt Robin and cousin Michelle came to visit from Florida. I'm sure I'm forgetting some. But we had a GREAT SUMMER! Love the Fall, but definitely don't look forward to the winter. I am a wuss when it comes to cold weather. What can I say... I was raised in Phoenix, Arizona.

Potty Time

Makenna has been wanting to learn to potty train for a few months now, so we bought her an Elmo potty seat. She doesn't quite get the concept yet. She tells me she wants to go poopy on the Elmo potty, but when we get there she's already went poop. Sometimes we sit on it and try to push which is what you will witness in the video. It's quite funny!

Life with a Toddler

Life with a toddler is quite crazy. Let me just fill you in on some of the things my precious Makenna has done in the last 24 hours. She's like a tornado that comes through my house every day. I have problems keeping up with just one kid. How am I going to keep up with two, three, or four kids?
In the last 24 hours she has: Drank some of my body oil from the shower(cap was not screwed on all the way), got into the cotton swabs and thinks it's cool to stick them in her ears. She took my deoderant off the bathroom counter, removed the cap and rolled it on her shirt and underarms. She got a hold of my contact case and dumped out all the solution (luckily I had my contacts in). She colored her crayons on the table and mirror. Found a pen and colored on the wall. Pulled all her books off the bookcase. And she has to listen to Old MacDonald Had a Farm, ABC Song, and If You're Happy and You Know It over and over and over again.
It's exhausting, and she does all this when I turn my back on her or am not paying attention to her. Do I need to mention the NO's, Mine's, throwing of toys, screams, and cries that come along her tantrums. But I STILL LOVE HER!!!!!

Wearing Momma's shoes

Grandma Pat Visits

Last days of Summer

We enjoyed some of the recent 80 degree days. We got out the baby pool and Makenna practiced laying her head back in the pool. As you can see she found a way to cheat.

Big Daddy Weave/Rush of Fools Concert

Rush of Fools

Big Daddy Weave

Our church hosted a Big Daddy Weave and Rush of Fools Concert. I love Big Daddy Weave and that's the first time I had seen them in concert. We had a blast!

We're Back!!

Makenna had a nasty cold the last week or so. So she hasn't quite been herself. But I think her cough is starting to clear out and get better. I hope!!

Well after finally finding the right cable cord on E-bay which we did get a great price on, we waited for it to be shipped from Hong King which took forever. But the good news, it works and now I'm back to blogging.
